Some are born with the drive to inspire.

Others, the genes of a supermodel.

And then there’s David Bowie. 

 

As a teen, I had always wanted to simply dress them.

 

I always prided myself on my fashion sense, sketching and sewing my own youthful designs, which carried over to my studies at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in Los Angeles. The film industry was a most apt starting point, but time called me home.

 

For almost two decades, I have been associated with some of the best and brightest directors, photographers, producers and agencies in Philadelphia. I can’t quite remember when teenage Lindsay Phillippe discovered one could make a living as a wardrobe stylist, but so proud to have achieved that title in my professional life.

 

From commercials to children’s programming, agency styling to music videos, I’ve been grateful for so many eclectic opportunities to mesh with the creative visions of my collaborators, both here in the Greater Philadelphia market and across the country.

 

The communal spirit inherent to our industry continues to inspire me, as do my three (almost) teenage girls. I tell them everyday that there is nothing more gratifying than living out the dreams of your youth.
